The Staircase

Another War of Religions. To ascend to the heavens or descend to the hells, we all share the same staircase. A life of mortifications and prayers that concludes in the same destiny. Once again, we forget who we are by accusing the other. Once again, a discourse of dishonored homeland and revenge that is paid by the same people, as always. A staircase of thorns, without support, without beginning or end. We may encounter each other on one side or the other, or on none, climbing up and down the staircase in the name of God.

Une autre guerre de religions. Pour monter au ciel ou descendre en enfer, nous partageons tous la même échelle. Une vie de mortifications et de prières qui aboutit au même destin. Une fois de plus, nous oublions ce que nous sommes en accusant l'autre. Une fois de plus, un discours de patrie déshonorée et de vengeance payée, comme toujours, par les mêmes. Une échelle d'épines, sans support, sans début et sans fin. Nous nous retrouverons peut-être d'un côté ou de l'autre ou d'aucun des deux, montant et descendant l'échelle au nom de Dieu.

Otra Guerra de Religiones. Para subir a los cielos o descender a los infiernos, todos compartimos la misma escalera. Una vida de mortificaciones y plegarias que concluye en el mismo destino. Otra vez olvidamos lo que somos acusando al otro. Otra vez un discurso de patria deshonorada y de venganza que pagan, como siempre, los mismos. Una escalera de espinas, sin apoyos, sin principio ni fin. Nos encontraremos quizás en un bando o en otro o en ninguno, subiendo y bajando la escalera en nombre de Dios.
