Shadows
Shadows drawings C
This painting is a landscape,
a projection of walnut shadow tones,
crossing and overlapping.
This painting is a dream,
my first natural sketches,
traveling in cycles back and forth,
in a pendular movement between figuration and abstraction,
between the sensual and the solemn.
This painting is a journey back,
of hieratic figures,
a dance of contrasts more transparent than my shadow,
sometimes complementing each other,
other times rejecting each other,
like masks in an endless carnival.
This painting is a game,
to rediscover the headless portrait,
where the figure can be invasive, neutral, submissive,
or all at once,
and the drawing takes the lead again,
color is on its way.
